As Spirit Airlines launched its “More Fly” campaign, the airline required hyper-realistic CGI to seamlessly integrate into its TV commercials. Collaborating with Tombras, the agency behind the campaign, Neutral Digital delivered high-quality aircraft animations that enhanced Spirit’s advertising visuals, ensuring a polished and immersive final product.

Spirit’s campaign, which promotes its new “Go Big” and “Go Comfy” offerings, was designed to reshape perceptions of budget-friendly air travel. To support this vision every visual element needed to feel premium and immersive. This is where high-end CGI played a crucial role. 

Creating photorealistic CGI for a high-profile advertising campaign requires a meticulous approach to detail, realism and seamless integration with live-action footage. For Spirit Airlines’ “More Fly” campaign, our process was designed to enhance the airline’s branding while ensuring that the CGI elements felt natural within the fast-paced, engaging commercial.

One of the biggest challenges in CGI for ad campaigns is matching the pacing and cinematography of live-action footage. We worked closely with ad agency Tombras to align our camera movements, motion blur and atmospheric effects with the real-world shots used in the commercial.

 

Additionally, the placement of advertising text and graphics was a critical factor — our animations had to work alongside on-screen typography without causing visual clutter. This meant carefully orchestrating movement and framing to maintain a clean, engaging visual hierarchy.

 

Our CGI animations were featured across a number of adverts, forming the backbone of Spirit Airlines’ “More Fly” campaign. The videos have collectively garnered over 13 million views on YouTube within the first month of launch.

 

This campaign marked a major brand evolution for Spirit Airlines, positioning them as a more premium yet budget-conscious airline. By elevating the visuals with high-end CGI, we helped deliver an advertising experience that resonated with millions of viewers.
