Hawaiian Airlines Unveils Its oneworld Alliance Livery

Hawaiian Airlines joined the oneworld alliance on 23 April 2026, becoming the third US-based carrier in the network alongside Alaska Airlines and American Airlines. To mark the occasion, the airline unveiled a special Airbus A330 livery carrying the alliance roundel alongside the phrase ‘Aloha a puni ka honua’, meaning ‘Aloha all around the world’. The phrase reflects the airline’s mission to share the warmth of Hawaiʻi with a broader global audience.

Task

Create a suite of CGI imagery and photorealistic animations showcasing the Hawaiian Airlines oneworld alliance livery aircraft, communicating both the details of the livery and the significance of the airline's entry into the alliance to global audiences.

  • Strategy

    CGI, Photorealistic Animation

  • Client

    Hawaiian Airlines

A livery that carries more than an alliance roundel

The oneworld alliance roundel on the fuselage of an aircraft signals membership of one of the world’s most recognised airline alliances, providing passengers with access to priority check-in, fast-track security, premium lounges and seamless connections across 16 member carriers. For Hawaiian Airlines, that membership also represents a significant expansion of the routes and benefits available to its passengers, linking its Pacific-focused network to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The livery design reflects that ambition whilst remaining grounded in what makes Hawaiian Airlines distinctive. The airline’s signature purple runs the length of the fuselage, and the choice to feature the phrase prominently positions the airline’s cultural identity not as a regional characteristic but as something it carries with it to every destination it serves.

Bringing the livery to life through CGI

To capture the livery with the accuracy and visual impact the moment deserved, Neutral Digital developed a series of photorealistic CGI renders and cinematic animations that place the aircraft against a selection of striking environments. The photorealistic image and animations showcase the full length of the fuselage and the detail of the livery design, whilst dynamic in-flight sequences convey the scale and presence of the A330 in motion.

Every element of the aircraft’s surface, from the colour and typography to the placement of the alliance roundel and the interaction of natural light across the fuselage, was created with the precision required to represent the design accurately across all intended channels.

Built for global distribution across multiple platforms

The visual assets were developed for use across press announcements, digital campaigns, social media and brand communications, providing Hawaiian Airlines and oneworld with consistent, high-quality imagery that could be shared simultaneously across multiple markets at the moment of the alliance announcement.

For an airline marking its entry into one of the world’s most recognised alliance networks, the visual assets that accompany that moment carry their own significance. Photorealistic CGI and cinematic animation capture the design, the atmosphere and the significance of a livery with the accuracy and detail the occasion demands, reinforcing Hawaiian Airlines’ place on the world stage.
